My flowers are blooming!

So, here we are in middle of June already! The weather the last few days here in Western PA has just been fabulous! Temperatures in low 70’s and no humidity. I just wish the rest of summer could be this perfect!

Hubby and I have been working in the yard, spreading 35 bags of mulch around the flower beds and power washing the house. He worked in his garden putting in the vegetable plants, and I was busy with my flowers, I’m so thankful to the couple that lived in this home before we bought it, she had so many perennials planted. Unfortunately, we had to dig up all the hydrangeas last fall. They were big and didn’t bloom, I tried for 4 years to figure out why, but in the end we decided to dig them out. We mulched that area and I have it decorated with some of my primitive items, but I’m still working on it, so maybe I will share that with you at a later time.

So, here is a look at some of the flowers around our home!

Beautiful Clematis bloom
Purple Salvia
vintage wheel barrow
I love old and rusty!
Ladder that I added baskets to and planted with annuals
I love this Peony, it’s the only one that looked like this!
Rose bush
My recent yard sale find was this vintage Maid of Honor wringer! This was a galvanized tub that I painted sunflowers on over 10 years ago.
Garden beds

I hope you enjoyed a peak at the flowers around our home! I by no means have a green thumb, I’m lucky things even grow!
