Hi everyone, just stopping by for a quick post to wish all of you a
Happy Valentine’s Day.
I have been fortunate in life to have married a man who loves me unconditionally.
Yes, as in life, we have had our ups and downs, our spats and disagreements, but we never go to bed angry with each other and that’s why we are still married 42 years later. Love takes work, it is a choice you have to make to love. If I were to give any advice to young people I would say that give 100% to each other, not 50% from you and 50% from your spouse.
Treat your husband like a king and he will treat you like his queen!
I wanted to share this cute grouping I made in a heart shaped box.
The box is painted with acrylic paint in tuscan red then distressed with black.
Fill the box with Spanish Moss and tuck the lid of the box into the back of the box.
You can glue it in place with some hot glue.
In fact, I glued everything in the box so it doesn’t move around.
Now just fill the box with some of your favorite items.
A cute teddy bear is holding a small framed print of teddy bears.
Don’t you love her homespun bow!!
You can glue a small doily over the edge of the box and glue a red button to it.
I also placed a small wood spool and a tea-stained muslin bunny inside.
The bunny is holding a little rag ball on her lap.
On the front of the lid, I glued a wooden heart with a piece of homespun material tied to it, and another button on the front.
There you have it, I keep this out all year long, it is just too cute to put up for one month out of the year!
I leave you with this…
Blessings,
Terri
