If you are like me, you often need something for breakfast that you can take on the go. This is one of my favorites because I get my coffee and my protein! It’s also good to pack into your lunch for that mid-morning pick-me-up.
You will need:
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 cup of coffee – you can chill it or do as I did and use it hot.
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder (you can use vanilla, just add 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa)
1/8 tsp of cinnamon (optional)
2 tablespoons of Da Vinci sugar-free syrup, vanilla flavor if you like it sweeter, you can use sugar, splenda or a the healthier version of sweetner- Steveia
1/2 tsp Xanthan gum…this only makes the drink thicker so you can make this without it. In fact, some people don’t like the after taste of the Xanthan gum.
8 ice cubes
Put everything but the xanthan gum and ice cubes in a blender; blend briefly on low speed.
Turn the blender to high and gradually add the xanthan gum and then the ice cubes. Blend until smooth and thick.
